Schluter® uses a foam board with waterproof felt on both sides, light, stable, and fully waterproof so your shower stays dry for life.

Lightweight: Ideal for Second-Story Installations

Weight matters when you're carrying materials upstairs and supporting them on the floor.

• Schluter® foam board weighs under 7 lbs.
• Mold-resistant sheet rock weighs 46 lbs.
• Cement board weighs 39 lbs.

No Bad Smells

We don't use sealants or paints that off-gas or break down over time.

• Wet mudding often uses tar-based sealants, which can smell and aren't ideal in enclosed spaces.
• Sealing paint has a strong fume smell and can fail over time, leading to moisture and mold.

Installation with Galvanized Washers and Screws

We use galvanized washers and screws to prevent rust, and therefore prevent leaking.

• Too many installers use drywall screws that rust due to moisture in the shower/tub, which leads to failure and leaks.

Schluter® Curb

The curb is part of the same system: foam-based and built to last.

• Also made of foam, no screws required for installation.
• Many other products require screws, which can rust and cause leaking.

Schluter® Pan

The shower pan is where many failures happen. We use Schluter® so it doesn't.

• Also made of foam with no screws for installation.
• Most leaking shower pans we see are from drywall screws or a tear in the vinyl liner during installation; others are from fiberglass pans that crack and peel. We use Schluter® so it doesn't happen.
• Fiberglass shower pans often crack and peel over time; Schluter® doesn't.

Lifetime Warranty Through the Manufacturer
